MingHua Manufacturing Facility
MingHua USA is the first Chinese tier-one automotive supplier in South Carolina constructed at 238,000 sf with 30,000 sf of office space. MingHua USA’s new facility was designed to support the manufacture of automotive parts in line with their parent company’s detailed processes and requirements, as well as the standards expected by their OEM clients. This project was $24 million.
Personal involvement in the project included carrying the project from schematic design through construction documents and assisting with construction administration. Throughout the design process, multiple exterior schemes and details were presented to the client and developed by myself and the Project Manager. Highlighted design features are the custom canopies along the front facade, woven metal screens at select curtain wall locations, and full height reception area with custom graphics and desk design.
